Admissions Process
Glenmore Christian Academy is a private Christian school (Junior Kindergarten to Grade 9) that is dedicated to teaching truth, inspiring excellence, experiencing Christ and serving through love. We are currently accepting online applications for the 2025-26 school year. Some grades are full with wait pools, while others have space available. Please contact our Director of Admissions, Kristy Cook, for more information regarding availability at admissions@gcaschool.com.
Admission decisions are made with the best interest of all students in mind and are based on a combination of each student's application and the academic programming at GCA.
Applications for Junior Kindergarten to Grade 9 are online. There is a requisite $200 application fee as a part of the process. Other documentation will be required including a copy of the birth certificate as well as a copy of the student's most recent report card for admissions to Grades 1 through 9. If your child was born outside of Canada, we require both the birth certificate and Canadian documentation (Citizenship, Visa, Permanent Resident Card, etc.).
All applicants will be contacted by the Director of Admissions to confirm receipt of the submitted application.
If there is space in the grade that you have applied for. In that case, the Director of Admissions will contact you to arrange for either an appointment for an interview (JK and Kindergarten applicants) or an academic assessment for your child (Grades 1 through 9 applicants). Please note: if there is no space in that grade, your application will be placed in a wait pool.
Students applying for Grades 1 through 9 will undergo an academic assessment with a certified teacher appropriate to the grade level they are applying for. The teacher will then review the assessment and provide detailed results to the principals. The assessment, along with the student's report card marks will then be reviewed. If an assessment is successful, the family will then be contacted to arrange for an interview with the Head of School.
Successful applicants in the Kindergarten program through Grade 9 will then be provided with an offer of acceptance requiring the payment of the one-time Facility Fee ($2000 for the first child, and $500 for any subsequent children in the same family). Annual tuition fees are required in full by June 1 or by using the 12-month payment plan starting June 1 and ending in May of the following calendar year.
